The OIG has issued two changes to its 2007 Work Plan.
Both sets of changes were made to the fifth page of the plan, under the "Medicare Hospitals" section.
The OIG included additional information from the Medicare Claims Processing Manual, which involves payments to contractors.
The first revision was made to the study "Inappropriate Payments for Diagnostic X-rays in Hospital Emergency Departments."
The second revision was made to the study "Oversight of Specialty Hospitals." In this study, the OIG changed the third line, which stated Congress imposed an 18-month moratorium on the construction of new physician-owned specialty hospitals.
The line now says that Congress imposed an 18-month moratorium on the construction of new physician-owned specialty hospitals.
