Some government requirements for determining the average manufacturer price (AMP) for prescription drugs are not clear and comprehensive, according to the OIG.

The OIG has further found that manufacturers' methods for calculating AMPs are not consistent.

In other news, the OIG has also released an audit showing that Nebraska did not properly claim payments for skilled professional medical personnel, and recommends the state refund $292,903.

Specifically, the state claimed costs for personnel who did not meet education requirements or who were in positions that did not require medical expertise.
