OIG continues wage data crackdown

Healthcare Auditing Weekly, May 9, 2006

Citrus Memorial Hospital of Inverness, FL is the latest provider on the OIG's hit list for stating incorrect wage data on its cost report.

The OIG found that the hospital overstated its 2003 wage data by nearly $2.4 million.

The OIG recommends that the hospital submit a revised Fiscal Year (FY) 2003 cost report and implement review and reconciliation procedures to ensure that future wage data reports are accurate.
