Complying with the OIG Work Plan

The 2006 OIG Work Plan contains a lot of information about potential problem areas for your facility. How can you reduce your risk?
The best way to minimize risk is to thoroughly analyze the Work Plan and determine how well your facility complies, says Robert Wade, partner at Baker Daniels, LLP, in South Bend, IN, who spoke during the HCPro, Inc., audioconference "Analyzing the 2006 OIG Work Plan: Strategies for Hospital Compliance" in November 2005.
Wade, a former compliance officer, said he used to sit down with the compliance and revenue integrity committees, analyze the Work Plan, and determine the hospital's risk in the various areas.
