However, until recently, the healthcare compliance field lacked a unified, standard framework for putting these tasks and other compliance duties into context.

That all changed recently when the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) and the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors (AHIA) developed a seven-component framework for compliance auditing and monitoring.
