New CMS guidelines clarify EMTALA compliance

Hospitals now have more information concerning compliance with the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA). On May 13, CMS published some much-needed clarifications of its regulatory changes in updated EMTALA interpretive guidelines.
