The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced March 5 that veteran healthcare executive Herb Kuhn will head the Center for Medicare Management (CMM).
Kuhn was previously corporate vice president for advocacy at Premier Inc., a not-for-profit hospital alliance.
CMM operates the fee-for-service portion of Medicare.
Kuhn is a graduate of Emporia State University (KS). Before joining Premier, he was vice president for federal relations at the American Hospital Association's Washington DC office. Prior to that role, he worked on Capitol Hill in the office of Rep. Bob Whitaker (R-KS).
