OIG issues outpatient billing for selected drugs at Los Angeles hospital

On October 30, the OIG issued a report which found that for 27 of the 28 line items reviewed, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center did not bill Medicare for injections of selected drugs in accordance with Federal requirements, resulting in overpayments totaling $57,000.

On October 30, the OIG issued a report which found that for 44 of the 52 line items reviewed, Swedish Medical Center - First Hill in Seattle did not bill Medicare for injections of selected drugs in accordance with Federal requirements, resulting in overpayments totaling $110,000.

OIG issues review of J5 payments for Herceptin

On October 30, the OIG issued a review which found that most Medicare payments that Wisconsin Physicians Service Insurance Corporation (WPS) made to providers for full vials of Herceptin were incorrect, resulting in overpayments totaling $635,000.
