CMS issues an NCA for liver transplantation for malignancies

OIG issues review of Pos-T-Vac Medical (DME supplier) documentation requirements
 
On June 19, the OIG issued a review in which it found that 51 of 100 sampled claims for vacuum erection systems submitted by Pos-T-Vac, a Medicare DME suppler, did not company with Medicare DME documentation requirements, resulting in overpayments totaling $4.2 million from January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2009.

OIG issues Medicare compliance review of New York hospital

On June 18, the OIG issued a Medicare compliance review of New York Downtown Hospital (New York). The review found that 58 of the 186 inpatient and outpatient claims reviewed did not comply with Medicare billing requirements, resulting in $423,978 in overpayments from July 1, 2008, through December 31, 2010

OIG issues Medicare compliance review of Colorado hospital

On June 18, the OIG issued a Medicare compliance review of the University of Colorado Hospital located in Aurora, Colo. The review found that 28 of the 164 inpatient and outpatient claims reviewed did not comply with Medicare billing requirements, resulting in $309,000 in overpayments from July 1, 2008, through December 31, 2010
