Update to Medicare Deductible, Coinsurance and Premium Rates for 2012
On December 16, 2011 CMS issued a transmittal that updates the claims processing system with the new 2012 Medicare rates.
On December 9, CMS issued its annual update to the 2012 clinical laboratory fee schedule, mapping for new codes for clinical laboratory tests, and updates for laboratory costs subject to the reasonable charge payment.
CMS updates the claim status categories and claim status codes
On December 22, CMS released a transmittal detailing the claim status category and claim status code updates. Contractors are to use codes posted at http://www.wpc-edi.com/codes on or about November 1, 2011 which are listed as current codes on that site.
