CMS issues Medicaid HCAC final rule
On June 1, CMS released a rule to finalize a payment adjustment for provider-preventable conditions, including healthcare-acquired conditions (HCAC), under Medicaid.

HHS posts disclosures, EHR certification rulemaking
On May 31, HHS published in the Federal Register two proposed rules related to accounting of disclosures under the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) and the permanent certification program for EHR technology.
