In the April 7 edition of the Federal Register, CMS released a proposed rule concerning Medicare payments for providers participating in an accountable care organization (ACO). Practitioners can continue to receive Medicare Part B reimbursement for traditional fee-for-service (FFS) payments and also be eligible for additional payments if specified quality and savings requirements are met.
