HHS publishes rulemaking on ACOs, compliance waivers
CMS and the OIG have published rulemaking on accountable care organizations (ACO) and applicable compliance waivers in the Federal Register for public comment. The proposed rule outlines the structure of ACOs; the joint CMS/OIG notice discusses various Stark and anti-kickback implications and waivers for ACOs.

CMS publishes final IPPS wage indices for 2011
On April 7, CMS published in the Federal Register the final 2011 wage indices, hospital reclassifications, and other related tables, which reflect made by the Medicare and Medicaid Extenders Act of 2010.
