HHS posts rulemaking on ACOs, compliance waivers
CMS and the OIG have released display copies of a proposed rule and notice regarding accountable care organizations (ACO). The proposed rule outlines the structure of ACOs; the joint CMS/OIG notice discusses various Stark and anti-kickback implications and waivers for ACOs.
