DME sales rep admits to stealing medical supplies

Joseph Raymond, 39, of Orchard Park, NY, admitted to stealing medical supplies and equipment from a local hospital and the durable medical equipment (DME) company that employed him, according to a WGRZ news story.
Raymond admitted to taking nearly $2 million worth of items from South Buffalo Mercy Hospital and Synthes, Inc., where he worked as a sales representative. The thefts took place between January 2002 and December 2010. Raymond faces up to 26 years in prison.
