CMS publishes MPFS rule
On November 29, CMS published in the Federal Register the physician fee schedule final rule for CY 2011. CMS had previously released the rule as a display copy for public inspection.
CMS publishes 2011 premiums, coinsurance, deductibles
On November 9, CMS published three notices in the Federal Register to set various premium, deductible, and coinsurance rates for 2011.

CMS issues Medicaid RAC proposed rule
On November 5, CMS posted a proposed rule regarding the RAC expansion into Medicaid. The rule provides guidance to states as they implement the new contingency-fee contractors. CMS is proposing that states fully implement their Medicaid RAC programs by April 1, 2011. CMS subsequently published the proposed rule in the November 10 Federal Register.
