CMS issues instructions regarding CAH/waiver-hospital informational claims
On October 29, CMS issued a transmittal to instruct contractors that, for discharges on or after October 1, 2010, all CAHs and Maryland waiver hospital informational-only claims submitted with condition code 04 will begin to accumulate on the Provider Statistical and Reimbursement Report type 118.
Effective date: October 1, 2010
Implementation date: April 4, 2011
CMS posts transmittal on occurrence span codes
On October 28, CMS issued a transmittal to provide direction to the Common Working File maintainer to further implement claims processing for occurrence span codes spanning more than ten years.
Effective date: October 1, 2002
Implementation date: April 4, 2011
