In late September, CMS published an MLN Matters article entitled "Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) Demonstration High-Risk Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) Coding Vulnerabilities for Inpatient Hospitals," in which it provided coding recommendations for inpatient hospitals. The article was later listed as unavailable and is now posted as revised, after concerns were expressed to CMS regarding some of the guidance in the article.
