This was a bit of a slow week, but there are a couple of smaller items I wanted to address.
First, CMS published a new document this week called the “Medicare Quarterly Provider Compliance Newsletter, Guidance to Address Billing Errors.” This first issue appears to focus on items identified through the RAC program, although they indicate it will focus on OIG identified issues, as well as issues from other contractors such as the PSCs (program safeguard contractors) and ZPICs (zone program integrity contractors) in the future.
