CMS updates reason codes
On September 3, CMS instructed contractors to implement an update to reason codes.
Effective date: January 1, 2011
Implementation date: January 3, 2011
CMS implements I/OCE update
On September 3, CMS posted a transmittal to implement the quarterly update to the integrated outpatient code editor (I/OCE), as outlined previously in Medicare Weekly Update. The transmittal includes a summary attachment of I/OCE changes.
Effective date: October 1, 2010
Implementation date: October 4, 2010
CMS replaces transmittals
CMS rescinded and replaced two transmittals related to audiology policy, previously outlined in Medicare Weekly Update.
