Weigh in on a recent MedicareFind Forum post:
At one time Dental services were not covered by Medicare in an hospital. We billed showing that the patient was liable for that service. We are now seeing patients appeal these and Medicare is making the facility liable stating we should have gotten an ABN signed and notified the patient upfront that services were not covered. This is an exclusion from Medicare, I thought no ABN was required. I have searched for billing information and have not been found any. Anyone else having this problem or any suggestions?
