HHS addresses privacy, security concerns in EHR program

HIPAA privacy and security concerns with the government’s EHR certification program were so great that hundreds of practitioners called for the program’s cancellation, announced HHS in its final rule on meaningful use. (See the final rule at www.ofr.gov/OFRUpload/OFRData/2010-17207_PI.pdf.)

That didn’t happen, of course.
