CMS publishes IPPS changes under PPACA
On June 2, CMS published in the Federal Register two entries that would make changes to the IPPS pursuant to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). The first entry updates various provisions of the fiscal year (FY) 2010 IPPS, including a -0.25% market basket update. The second includes proposed changes to the FY 2011 IPPS, including a similar -0.25% market basket update. CMS had previously issued this notice and proposed rulemaking as display copies. CMS also published corrections to its supplemental FY 2011 IPPS proposed rule.
