Weigh in on a recent MedicareFind Forum question:
A patient presents to a Hospital Outpatient Infusion Center - How do you code administration for a flush of a Broviac Catheter when 200mg of Clindamycin and 5,000 units of Heparin are mixed in one syringe and the dose is split and administered into both lines of the Broviac Catheter via IV Push. Should this be coded as 96374, IV Push Administration,Initial for both lines with modifier -59 appended to one of the codes?
