CMS adds payment locality for Kansas claims
On February 12, CMS issued a transmittal documenting the inconsistency in payment rates for claims with Kansas ZIP codes. This change request instructs claims processing contractors to include an additional Kansas payment locality to ensure correct pricing for laboratory services submitted with the 90 modifier.
CMS addresses HIPAA 5010 guidance
On February 12, CMS issued a transmittal in response to contractors' requests for further guidance and clarification on areas of implementation for HIPAA 5010.
