CMS corrects OPPS final rule
On December 31, CMS published in the Federal Register corrections to the previously issued OPPS final rule for 2010.
CMS, ONC publish EHR rule making
On December 30, CMS issued a display copy of a proposed rule to specify the initial criteria a hospital would have to meet under the electronic health record (EHR) incentive program, including the “meaningful use” of health information technology. The same day, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) issued a display copy of a related interim final rule.
