The laboratory industry is mounting opposition to a $750-million-per-year fee that has been proposed under Senate Finance Committee chair Max Baucus’ (D-MT) healthcare reform bill, known as the America’s Healthy Future Act. The fee amounts to a disproportionate cut for laboratories.
