CGI issues approved audit issues
Last week, CGI Federal, the Region B RAC, made available a list of issues approved for RAC review in Indiana, Michigan, and Minnesota.
OIG reviews high-dollar claims in Pennsylvania
On August 14, the OIG issued audit report A-03-07-00011, in which it determined that Highmark Medicare Services overpaid $2.2 million for 28 high-dollar payments it made for hospital outpatient claims in Pennsylvania between 2003 and 2005.
OIG audits Epogen payments
On August 14, the OIG issued audit report A-03-07-00032, in which it determined that between January 1, 2004, and June 30, 2006, Independent Dialysis Foundation-Parkview Center did not meet Medicare payment requirements for some dates of service. This resulted in overpayments totaling $106.
