Two Detroit healthcare agency owners plead guilty to Medicare fraud

On August 19, Kevin Watson and Jaqueline Jackson pleaded guilty to soliciting and paying kickbacks in exchange for Medicare patient referrals, according to a Department of Justice (DOJ) release.
Jackson owned and operated Superior Home Care, Inc, in Southfield, MI, and Watson owned Watson Health Care, also in Southfield. The two defendants admitted to paying co-defendant Rebecca Sharp, owner of Continuing Senior Care Co, Inc., and Marketing & Assessment, every time she referred patients to Superior Home Care. According to the release, Watson was involved in many of Superior Home Care’s operations.
According to the release, Watson and Jackson could serve 12 months’ in prison, and be ordered to pay $933,000 restitution to the Medicare Program, and a fine of up to $10,000.00.
