CMS issues new waived tests under CLIA
On August 21, CMS issued transmittal R1799CP to inform contractors of new waived tests approved by the Food and Drug Administration under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA).
Effective date: October 1, 2009
Implementation date: October 5, 2009
CMS updates IHS payment rates
On August 14, CMS issued transmittal R1798CP to update the hospital payment rates under the Indian Health Service.
Effective date: January 1, 2009
Implementation date: September 15, 2009
CMS issues, revises Part B drug pricing files
On August 14, CMS issued transmittal R1795CP to release the October 2009 quarterly average sales price Part B drug pricing files and revisions to prior quarterly pricing files.
