OIG audits high-dollar claims for outpatient services
On July 16, the OIG released a report on high-dollar payments for outpatient claims processed by TrailBlazer Health Enterprises, a Medicare fiscal intermediary, during 2005. The OIG found that TrailBlazer overpaid providers for 16 claims, resulting in overpayments totaling $848,640.
