Christopher Long, of Jefferson City, MO, pleaded guilty June 3 to billing Medicaid for home-health services he never provided, according to an article in the Rolla Daily News. According to United States Attorney Michael W. Reap, Long falsely billed Medicaid to obtain money for personal uses, specifically to post bail.
According to the article, Long submitted service log sheets to an area home healthcare agency that falsely reported the number of home-health services hours he provided to his mother. Long claimed he provided home-health care during times and dates when he was either in jail or his mother was in the hospital.
