ED auditing includes many components

EDs are unique from other departments for several reasons. For example, they typically have their own registration and separate entrance from the rest of the hospital. They also house a fast-paced environment in which the main priority is the efficient treatment and stabilization of each patient so staff members can quickly help the next patient who needs care.
