When it comes to radiology and breast imaging coding and billing for this year, expect a lot of the same reimbursement levels and headaches from 2008, says Melody Mulaik, MSHS, CPC, RCC, CPC-H, PCS, FCS, president and co-owner of Coding Strategies, Inc., and Coding Metrix, Inc., in Atlanta. “Overall, the message for radiology in 2009 is that there are not a lot of changes,” Mulaik says.
