Genomics-based technologies are front-page news in the mainstream media, thanks to companies offering commercial individual genome sequencing. Other genomics-era technologies, including microarray-based genetic tests, are also working their way into the clinic, requiring growing numbers of laboratory administrators in a wide spectrum of hospitals to handle samples for transport to outside labs.
We’ll tell you what lab administrators should know about these rapidly developing technologies and outline the regulations and guidelines that govern their use.
