In the last issue of Compliance Monitor the article titled “Tip: Cover all your bases in the ER” contained misinformation. The tip stated a physician must document the start and stop times for infusions or IV fluids in order to be able to charge for the services. Although it is true these times must be documented, nurses are also qualified to do so.
