Rumford Group Homes, Inc. (RGH), located in Rumford, ME, will pay $167,463 to settle allegations it submitted false claims to the Maine Medicaid agency, according to a Department of Justice (DOJ) release.
RGH improperly claimed costs in excess of allowable amounts for the lease of buildings, equipment, and vehicles in fiscal year 2001, according to the DOJ. RGH also allegedly prepaid expenses as if the services had already occurred. RGH knew or should have known the costs were improper, according to the DOJ.
