OIG issues report on payments for outpatient hospital, laboratory, and radiology services for beneficiaries in skilled nursing facility stays covered under Medicare Part A
On February 13, the OIG issued a report stating that Medicare made $106.9 million in potential overpayments in 2001 and 2002 to suppliers of outpatient hospital, laboratory, and radiology services for beneficiaries in skilled nursing facility stays covered under Medicare Part A.
