*As discussed in this week's "Note from Hugh," the fact that CMS designated a FAQ as "updated" does not necessarily mean that there was a substantive change to the question or answer. There is currently no way to tell from the CMS Web site which "updated" FAQ involved substantive changes. Consequently, to be safe, all FAQs designated as "updated" should be reviewed.

OIG issues review of high-dollar payments for Part A claims processed by Chisholm Administrative Services

On January 3, the OIG issued a report on high-dollar payments for Part A claims processed by Chisholm Administrative Services, a fiscal intermediary serving Oklahoma. The OIG determined that three high-dollar Medicare payments processed by Chisholm were appropriate.
