2008 hospital outpatient prospective payment system final rule published in the Federal Register
On November 27, the 2008 hospital outpatient prospective payment system final rule was published in the Federal Register. As reported in a previous issue of the Medicare Weekly Update, the display copy of the final rule had been previously posted on the CMS Web site. CMS is accepting comments on certain limited aspects of the final rule through January 28, 2008.
Effective date: January 1, 2008
