National Case Management Week, as celebrated by the American Case Management Association (ACMA), provides the healthcare industry the opportunity to recognize the efforts of case managers within the field, to educate the public about case management, and to increase recognition of the significant contribution to quality healthcare case managers make on behalf of each patient. Occurring October 14-20, 2007, ACMA encourages facilities to use the week to support their respective case management teams by promoting visibility and understanding through educational conferences, poster presentations, and awards.
The Case Management Society of America (CMSA) will also be celebrating case management with its own week of planned events to be held October 7-13, 2007. CMSA offers a promotional packet of information including ideas for hosting anniversary events, mail and newsletter tips, as well as community activities designed to celebrate the occasion.
