As part of an initiative to accommodate expected patient increases due to the closure of surrounding health facilities, New York City's Montefiore Medical Center has announced plans to adopt a suite of TeleTracking solutions designed to automate patient flow. The new technology will assist in managing existing bed capacity more effectively to prevent hospital overcrowding.
As one of the busiest emergency care providers in the U.S., the 1,122-bed facility intends to redesign the patient flow process by utilizing TeleTracking's software services, which provide computerized status reports on bed availability, transportation resources, and patient locations.
A Pittsburgh-based healthcare software firm, TeleTracking Technologies provides patient flow automation to more than 675 hospitals worldwide. The company provides software that creates prompts, feedback, and data flow to provide efficient real-time capacity management.
