Recently, DMH's five RN case managers collaborated with several other hospital departments to develop an innovative educational method to reduce LOS and meet the challenge of ensuring appropriate and timely orthopedic care for these patients. The school's members include representatives from all departments involved in the joint replacement process at DMH, including:
- Preadmission
- Anesthesia
- Medical-surgical floor
- Physical therapy/Rehab
- Case management
- Home health
