The Joint Commission and the American Case Management Association (ACMA) named Morton Plant Mease Health Care of Pinellas County, FL, the winner of the 2007 Franklin Award of Distinction during the 14th annual NICM Clinical Case Management Conference and 8th annual ACMA meeting in Miami, Florida, last month.
An expert panel that included social workers and case managers selects the winner based on an organization's ability to demonstrate their commitment to a collaborative philosophy and an interdisciplinary process for case management.
Morton Plant was recognized for showcasing a commitment to professional practice standards and for having a supportive administrative infrastructure, said L. Greg Cunningham, chief executive officer for ACMA, in a Joint Commission press release.
