Florida Hospital Flagler, located in Palm Coast, FL, has employed evidence-based design to create a more relaxed care setting for patients. The hospital hopes the calmer setting will help patients recuperate faster, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
Big windows, art, and soft paint tones were used to create a relaxed atmosphere. There's even a grand piano in the lobby.
The hospital's design was selected based on studies showing patients in a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere are able to leave the hospital earlier than those in normal hospital settings.
