Many women in the United States are delaying care they think they need because they cannot afford it. According to a study from the Kaiser Family Foundation, more than 66% of uninsured women and 25% of non-elderly women reported delaying or forgoing care over the past year. This number is up slightly from 59% and 24% respectively. The report also said that in this past year, one in five women did not fill a prescription because of cost.
