Baylor Health Care System of Maitland, FL, has agreed to a three-year contract to use medical kiosks in their facilities. The kiosks will allow patients to register themselves at the hospital and facilitate better flow through the system, according to a press release by Galvanon, the kiosk's manufacturer. Patients can use the kiosks to register and to update their medical information. The up-to-date information helps to speed up visits as medical staff does not have to try to piece the patient's history together. The system is consistent with other Galvanon products in use at the facility. The interoperability of the devices makes communication easier for physicians and medical staff.
