Researchers at San Diego Medical Center have found employing the Emergency Department Rapid Entry and Accelerated Care at Triage (ED REACT) program can cut a patient's wait in an emergency room, reducing the number of patients who leave without treatment. The research was published in the Annals of Emergency Medicine, according to www.modernphysician.com. The program is designed to streamline the triage process by taking tests while the patient waits for a bed to open.
