Healthcare consumers can now compare hospitals' performance on 17 key measures of care for heart attacks, heart failure, and stroke online. The new site, has data from 4,200 general acute care hospitals, who voluntarily shared their quality information. Consumers can search for a hospital by name, state, city, county, or zip code. The site also provides patient tools, such as a hospital checklist, which lists questions to ask a physician, the hospital, and insurance provider.
