Rate of uninsured FL residents on the rise

The rate of Floridians without health insurance rose from 17% to 20% over the past five years, according to a survey conducted by the Agency for Health Care Administration. After calling and surveying 17,000 people in the state, researchers learned that 35% of residents between the ages of 19 and 24 lack insurance. The agency recently presented its findings to the state Senate health committee.
